I recently hosted the Betty Crocker Suddenly Salad Giveaway. Congratulations goes to Babee Love for winning this Delicious Giveaway. I also, had asked all who entered to share their Favorite Summer Recipe. Babee Love shared her Easy Lemon Cake recipe...sounds yummy!

Easy Lemon Cake

1 pkg (2 layer size) lemon cake mix
2 pkg (3.4oz each) JELL-O Lemon Instant Pudding
1 1/2 cups cold milk
1 tub (8oz) COOL WHIP whipped topping, thawed

Directions: Prepare cake batter and bake as directed on pkg for 2 (8 or 9") round cake layers. Cool 10 min. Remove to wire racks and cool completely.
Beat pudding mixes and milk with whisk for 2 minutes. Immediately spread over tops of cake layers.
Stack cake layers. Frost with COOL WHIP.
Keep refrigerated.

Well...It definitely has been awhile since my last post. Life has kept me busy! But, I can't think of a better post to start off with.

The New Moon Movie Premiere! A few of my friends & myself went to the Midnight Movie Premiere...What an experience. We lucked out and had purchased tickets to a theater that was having a Meet & Greet with one of the actors...Unfortunately it wasn't Mr. Edward Cullens himself! ; ) The actor was Kiowa Gordon (Embry) from the Wolfpack. It was crazy to be standing there along with all the screaming Tweens...No screams from this Twilight Mom...I am Team Edward all the way! = )

This was my first Midnight Premiere and it was definitely worth standing in the freezing cold for. New Moon was an absolutely fabulous movie. Maybe that is an easy thing for me to say, since I am a Twi-Hard. Most people say that if you are Team Edward, New Moon will turn you into a Team Jacob...Nope not here...I still plan on "Running w/ Vampires". ; )

That is why I am so Excited about sharing this Review with you. I recently came across the coolest shoes for kids...Polliwalks. At first I wasn't too sure how different they could be from other similar brands. Was I Wrong!
My Little Man received the T-Rex Dinosaur Polliwalks. They are the CUTEST shoes ever. My Son absolutely Loves them and has been Crazy about them since we received them. When we are out and about, my Son insists on showing everyone his shoes. His words exactly..."Hey look at my shoes. They go like this....rawr rawr. Hey look at them...you see them." This is the most hilarious thing ever. I have never seen him react to something so passionately.

Well, now that you know that they have the Little One's Seal of Approval...now onto Mom. These T-Rex Polliwalks get two thumbs up from me. They are durable, cushioned, and they stay put on his feet. He is a wild one that loves to run and jump everywhere...and his shoes hold up to all his bouncin' around.
The T-Rex Dinosaur shoes that Polliwalks graciously let us review came in Army Green. This was a great neutral color. The T-Rex has a strap with a spikey tail on it, that can be moved to be used as a back foot strap or kept at the top of the shoe. My Son usually prefers the strap at the top and the shoes just stay put. I also found that they fit true to size. Now...another cool feature I haven't mentioned yet, is that, the bottom of the shoe has a footprint of the animal that the shoe represents. Called the "Footprinter". How cool is that!?! These Fun & Colorful little animal shoes are also easy to clean. They can be rinsed off with just water or even thrown in the gentle cycle and aired dry.

A good deed is defined as an act or performance done out of kindness, generosity or friendliness.

Each week I have posted a Good Deed Friday. I know most of them have consisted of some sort of donation. This week I wanted to post a list of Good Deeds, that can be just random acts of kindness that don't cost a dime...but just as well touch some ones heart!

Who knows...one act of kindness can spread like wild fire. When you help someone, it can become contagious and what's wrong with knowing and feeling you had helped someone without expecting anything in return. Can you imagine a world where we all helped one another??? It all starts with just one Good Deed!

~Raking a neighbors leaves or even pulling their weeds
~Baking cookies to welcome a new neighbor or a pick me up for a friend that is feeling down
~Volunteer
~Let someone go ahead of you in line, on the road, or even have that parking space
~SMILE & say HELLO to a Stranger
~Offer to watch your friends kiddies so they can have a Date Night
~DONATE clothing & necessities to a local shelter
~Offer to help someone with their groceries
~Visit a local nursing home

I know that these are just a few good deeds and may even sound a bit juvenile...but it is really just about getting back to the basics and HELPING one another.

The Time Travelers Wife...

I am sure most of you or even all of you have heard about or seen the trailer to this movie. I know it started today, and I can't wait to see it! I am currently reading the book, and I absolutely LOVE it. It was a little confusing at first to catch on to what was going on...but once you do you will be SUCKED in...this book is a great read and so well written. If you are looking for a page-turner...this is it! I find myself wrapped up in Clare's journey with Henry...I couldn't imagine being involved with a man that is there in just bits and pieces of your life. If anyone else is reading the book...I would love to hear your thoughts on it. ; )

I don't usually have the time to read with 2 kiddies, but I have made the time to on this one. Reading is such an escape to everyday reality!!! I am already half way through the book and will be looking for another great read...if you have any suggestions...I would love to know what books y'all would recommend. ; )

So, one of my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE things to do is Decorate!!! I Love to go Shopping for Home Accents, Help friends with their Decorating Dilemmas, go to Model Homes for Inspiration...You name it...If it's about Decorating...I LOVE IT!!!

Well, I came across such a Cute idea for a baby's room or even if you have a baby shower coming up...this would make a Unique & Adorable Gift.

First thing this morning my little one was already running & jumping around the house making monster noises...Good Morning Mama! Where do they get the ENERGY??? My Lil' Diva was already watching her pre-recorded teeny bopper shows. My hubby was headed out the door for another long day at work with his Monster Energy drink in hand.

Me....I am stumbling out of bed from a late night of blogging & enjoying a peaceful quiet night...and here I am again! ; )

Maybe, I should be working on the pile of laundry taunting me on the sofa, or pay the bills so I can have electric and water, or be running my 2 year old to the bathroom again to see if he has to go potty, or clean the mess from breakfast, or stop the arguing between a 9 year old and a 2 year old.

How bout' lets start with a shower, so I can go over in my head the list of things TO DO today....
Laundry, Bills, Breakfast Mess, Get the Rug Rats Showered & Dressed, Get Diaper Bag Loaded, Feed Dogs, Head Out In The Heat For a Fun Day of Errands With 2 Kids In Tow....

Entering the Blog World...

First there was Myspace, Facebook, Twitter, now a Blog....Well it's worth a shot!

Well, I would like to start off on why I would like to get involved in the "Blog World".
Each day we can all get caught up in the mundane and forget to connect with one another. I decided by doing this blog on our life, will allow me to stay connected with family that I can't see everyday, re-connect with friends that I have been out of touch with, & meet some new friends along the way!

I also, wanted to do it for me...as a means of self-therapy. There's something about just getting it out in black and white. I also, have been told by a few friends here and there that I should find a way to share some of my favorite things, ideas, or hidden treasures. So, I am writing this blog for many reasons, and I just hope that you will find it heartwarming, funny, a bit chaotic, and a little resourceful at times too. I look forward to sharing moments of our lives, savvy savings, & a little momspective!
